Stallion Breeding Contract

 

This Contract is for the Breeding season 2008 is made on this day_____________, between Mike & Pam Fick dba Sunrise Appaloosa Ranch and ________________________________________ Here in after referred to as the Mare Owner.  The Appaloosa Stallion CHARG’N EYES will be bred to ________________________ Registration # _______________________ for the fee of $400.00 using the method of Artificial Insemination (shipped semen) see #2 for shipped semen, for a LFG (Live Foal Guarantee) see # 6 below subject to the following conditions.

 

1)   Stallion fee includes a $100.00 non-refundable booking fee, payable with this contract, the balance of Stud fee, must be paid with Shipped semen fee (see #2) 2 weeks before any semen is shipped or drawn.

2)   Breeder agrees to ship enough semen for 2 breedings to Mare owner at the collection fee of $275.00 which covers all collection fees and Shipping to be paid before Semen is to be drawn and shipped. Additional draws would be at $250.00 for this mare if needed.  Semen must be ordered by 3 pm of the previous day before collection occurs (semen collected on M,W,F) other days with prior approval.

a. There will be a billable charge of $150.00 if Shipping

Container is not Returned Promptly!!!

3)   The Mare owner is Responsible for all Vet cost encured at there facilities for the Insemination of Semen. The Semen shall be inseminated by a licensed Veterinarian.

4)   The Mare Owner shall provide the Breeder with a copy of both sides of the Mares Registration papers with the signed contract and booking fee.

5)   Ultrasound test will be performed by the 21^st day after the last breeding at the Mare owners cost.   

6)   This Contract contains a “Live Foal Guarantee” A live

a. Foal is defined as a new born foal which stands and       nurses without assistance.  If foal is born dead or dies   within 24 hours of foaling.  The Mare owner would only be Responsible for paying the $250.00 for vets costs and shipping for the Semen. If Mare fails to settle for any reason Mare Owner will hold Breeder blameless.

7)   Breeder will only breed or ship semen from February 15th- July 15^th.

8)   A Breeder certificate will be issued the following spring and breeder agrees to send to mare owner if all fees are paid in full.

9)   Both parties agree that the Breeder farm is not Responsible for any sickness or accident or damages to the mare or foal. It is the Mare owners responsibility to provide mortality insurance on the mare and foal

10)   It is further agreed that the above named stallion should die or become unfit for service the stud fee minus the booking will be refunded there by canceling this entire contract.

11)   This Contract represents both parties when mare owner and breeder sign contract it is binding with both parties subject to the above terms and conditions.
